The Beautifully Broken Women’s Conference has been the vision and inspiration of Angie DeVries. The idea first came through prayer over what God wanted from her in the coming season. She has carried it, stewarded it and brought it to life, the whole time seeking God’s voice for the women of our region.
The theme Beautifully Broken came out of being deeply and even personally affected by the hardships and traumas that so many people are experiencing within our families and community. She was constantly reminded that in brokenness we see God work and move. It is when He comes in; Christ takes our brokenness and puts you back together more beautifully than you were before. In weakness, we are made strong. Out of brokenness comes unspeakable beauty that you might miss if it wasn’t there. Angie knew that God was speaking into our brokenness to make it beautiful and that this was what God wanted to say through this conference. Sometimes it takes being broken to let love and Christ in so that we can be healed in ways we didn’t know we needed.
We are excited to have you join us and know that God is going to move mightily through stories, testimony, worship and fellowship.

Ashley Bell is a single mom of two great boys, Xavior and Preston. Ashley lives in Hagersville, Ontario while attending school. Ashley is an aspiring singer/songwriter and worship leader at the Dwelling Place in Springvale, ON. Several years ago, Ashley was in a debilitating and deadly car crash and out of a body that was literally broken comes the most incredible story of healing and redemption.
Anne Cook lives on a small hobby farm in Fenwick, Ontario with her husband Steve and their three boys: Seth, Abel and Miles. Depending on what time of year you visit, you may see pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, and maybe even a cow. She is passionate about good food and even more passionate about music. Anne has been a piano teacher in Niagara for almost ten years and is on the board of directors for the Port Colborne Music Festival. She is often seen singing or playing piano at their home church of Wainfleet BIC. Anne and her family have walked many valleys but praise God that He has walked alongside and brought them through to hills of restoration.
Tracy Fast is a homeschooling mom to three miracle children; Eden, Elijah and Eden. Tracy and her husband Ronny live with their children in Jarvis, Ontario. Tracy leads bible study and coordinates Saturday evening Children’s Ministry at Kingsway Christian Church in Balmoral, Ontario. This past spring Tracy and Ronny received the worst news a parent could ever hear when they discovered their youngest daughter had cancer. They have recently come through their battle with cancer victorious and have shown us all what it means to have a hope anchored in Christ, our rock.
Kathy Sherk attends Sweets Corners Church and lives in Caledonia, Ontario. She is married to her handsome husband Dan and together they have a beautiful daughter, Breanna. In 2011 Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer and won her battle. Kathy’s testimony that cancer was the best thing that ever happened to her reminds us that God will work all things together for our good and that out of the deepest valleys come the highest heights.
