“Living Stones” | 1 Peter 2 Vs 4-10

This week’s message continues our look at “taking out the trash” in our lives—removing attitudes and sins that damage our relationship with God and with others. In 1 Peter 2, we see what happens after that cleanup: God begins building something new. Peter describes Jesus as the Living Stone and the Cornerstone that everything else must be built upon. As believers, we are like living stones being built together into a spiritual house with purpose and identity in Christ. The sermon highlights three powerful truths from the passage: we are built on Christ as our foundation, many still reject Him and stumble over the truth, and those who believe are called by God’s mercy into a new identity. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are brought out of darkness into His marvellous light and given a purpose—to proclaim His goodness and live lives that honour Him.
