On Palm Sunday, we see two competing visions of power: Rome’s rule through force and Israel’s hope for a righteous kingdom. But Jesus steps in and shows a completely different way—the way of the cross. This message unpacks how submission is not weakness, but an expression of trust in God’s authority. Through 1 Peter 2, we see that true freedom is found not in control or rebellion, but in surrender to God, living lives marked by doing good, honouring others, and reflecting a different kingdom.
