"The Time of Your Stay" | 1 Peter 1 Vs 17-21
Travel has a way of reminding you fast that you are not home. Peter uses that same idea to wake us up spiritually. In 1 Peter 1 Vs 17-21, we’re reminded that believers live here on a temporary stay, under a Father who is also an impartial Judge. That reality produces reverent fear, not panic, and it strengthens assurance while shaping holy living. This passage also re-centres us on what it cost to save us. We weren’t redeemed with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, the spotless Lamb. And because Jesus was foreordained, revealed, raised, and glorified, our faith and hope are anchored in God. So during the time of our stay, we live alert, we redeem the time, we resist assimilation, and we walk like people headed for glory.
