What does it mean to be a faithful member of the church? Looking back at the history of Sweets Church, we see generations of believers who planted, watered, served, sacrificed, and trusted God to bring the growth. As we approach 150 years as a church, we must consider what kind of testimony the next generation will inherit from us. In Acts 2, the early believers responded to the gospel by believing in Jesus, being baptized, and devoting themselves to the life and work of the church. Faithful church membership is more than attending a Sunday service. It means trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior, publicly identifying with Him through baptism, and actively using our time, gifts, and resources to strengthen the church family. Our stated beliefs must be supported by our actions. What we prioritize reveals what we truly believe.
